Thanks so much for considering donating to the classroom. None of the items on my request list below are essential, but they are helpful. Second graders are ALWAYS hungry. Health and cleaning supplies help everyone feel more safe. Because classroom storage space is limited, please consider sending one item at a time and spacing donations out throughout the year. Again, THANKS for your generosity!

Helpful Items to Donate All School Year Long

  • Food: Nonperishable crackers and snacks are best. Animal crackers and pretzel bows are my go-to snacks. Goldfish are a special treat (but please avoid the "Flavor-Blast" variety). Please avoid foods with high sugar content.

  • Tissues: We have free tissues available, but they are infamously rough on noses. Softer choices are welcome donations.

  • Paper towels: I'm sure you remember the school-issued brown paper towel rolls. Those can be useful, but second graders tend to spill a lot and fast-absorbing white paper towels are a MUST. Single roll donations are always welcome.

  • Cleaning wipes: In the past, we had these available for free but the increase demand during the pandemic has limited our supply. Some bleach-based choices are harsh. I like these from Hannaford, but any donation is welcome.

  • Gift cards: I usually stock up at Hannaford when supplies are low. Gift cards are a great way to help me offset personal costs.
